Just a quick update, I had to instal a new shower in the house...that and all that goes with it put the Jeep on the back burner for a few weeks.
To prevent rust I had time to give it a quick dusting of red oxide.

Today I removed the seat, steering and cut away the chassis to clear the new body work.

I have welded on the scuttle and with a bit of luck I will be doing the bonnet next w/e

A long time coming

Since I last posted I have had so little time to work on this and other projects but progress is being made.

Trouble was I fitted in a series land rover project... the price was right and I could not resist.. which moved this down the list, it is back near the top now!

Finaly got it done!

Yup, after around 2 years I finished the mini jeep, a few pictures below.

Can you still use it as a mower? That would be really cool, I have some persistent nettles and thistles in the field that don't warrant a topper but this would be more fun than the hand slasher or strimmer. Or maybe I should let them grow then build a mini sherman tank to sort them out

I'm thinking of building one of these now I don't have a tractor. Would do it in such a way as could still cut grass (not that I have enough to warrant really )

All the gear was still underneath the chassis for the cutting deck but the larger front wheels hit it on about 3/4 lock...... as the deck needed a lot of work I binned it.
This was never meant to be anything more than a showground runaround for someone who wants a one off that turns heads.

Mine sold today for a reasonable price, so, what next? Well once I have moved house and rebuilt my workshop I will be starting the next project, it will involve welding so I will probably bring it here to show and tell

That is pretty awesome rog I like it alot and its got me staring all doey eyed at the missus' spare mobility scooter but the question is a) could i do it and b) will she bloody kill me or c) will she love it to bits and will be well chuffed to be ragging around on it I wonder if it would be legal i dont see why not but the law is an ass
