It's not a 1275 engine if it was it wouldn't have a small head fitted, possibly a 1100 (1098).
You can tell which head it is by the orientation of the thermostat housing and the angle of the heater tap.
12G 208 or 12G 295 head casting number is a cooper.

Yes just the two large bolts at the top.Does the cover just have two bolts holding it down?
From memory, I thought the 12g295 heads were originally from a MG1100, this was the head to go for for anything A series you were trying to tune. Looking on the web it appeared to be fitted to Coopers as well, but I feel this could have been later. Only a guess, but it wasn't the original head for the engine.
Well spotted that manHi, As a point of note the cylinder numbers written on the inlet manifold are wrong.

Later engine as it has the sintered rocker arms. 12G295 is certainly correct number for 998 Cooper of around 1969 vintage...12G940 was I think the 1275 S head......
