Can you not mount it inside the engine bay to keep it dry, it will be quicker to pop the bonnet than it would be to un-screw a sealed cover.I remember way back in my army days the 1 tonne landy had a socket mounted on the outside for the radios this had a screw on cap,now some thing like that might be in better order,no?

Put it somewhere more accessibleThat was my 1st plan,but i dont fancy crawling on wet cold grounds unplugging the damn thing,BUT,if push comes to it i'll use those plugs and mount the socket end some at the back,maybe on the towbar
