Great job so far mate, i`ll befollowing this one for sure. I used colour bond steel for mine though mine is a little smaller than yours. I`m having trouble getting an engine and overcoming diff steer with mine.
Heres mt gallery with the pics (no hijack intended) http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/album.php?u=15118
yeah cheers hopefully will be ready around christmas time( weather permitting as i dont have a shed big enough to work in) . If i were to build one again i would start from scratch and use something like a 125cc engine running to a kart axle
Looking good with you, but i think i may make mine into a defender 90 to save ait of time on building the front, but i'll keep you posted
I decided not to take the easy option and buy the hinges and other bits but to build them from scratch. I thought if I was going to build one i'll build it properly once. When it took me half a day just to build one door hinge i wished i had taken the easy option, But "the devils in the detail".
Some of the bits ive been doing this month is Windscreen hinges, door hinges, shortened the wipers and abit of paint.
heres the pics, ill keep you posted as i go on :-
Here it is, just finished few minutes ago and im really pleased with it, didn't actually take that long either but I think it came out well, but your opinions are welcome
all's left to do is now is rivet it together and a lick of paint
weel more than 6 months, last time i even saw it was before christmas. starting a new college next week, started driving, so i have to work as much as i can to pay the bills.
Also its got too big to fit round the back of the house :L soo my plan was to sell this and build a smaller one that can ahah
yeaah cheers....got my self an apprentership now, and all my spare money and time goes on my car so i doubt i would have finished it, but hopefully by selling it on ill see it finished and some cash my way everyones a winner haha
just looked at your ebay advert, reckon theres some money in these, i was going to offer you £100 to carry on with it, then i saw the current bid, bloody hell
