Im new to this forum and have found some interesting articles regarding milling machines but the more I read the more I confuse myself in respect of what to look for,
Me and my grandad are building our first traction engine and so far have been carrying out basic milling activities on the vertical slide on our myford ml7 but some operations are proving very difficult so we have decide to invest in a milling machine,we are novices and the more I read about different spindles/tooling fittings the more confused I become as to which to go for..
however the tricky part comes when we consider that our workshop is in my granddads cellar and space is tight, bearing this in mind iv been looking at the benchtop type drill/mill machines similar to warco major/minor or RF25/30/31..
any thoughts positive or negative... anyone have anything they are getting rid of or thinking about upgrading..
Thanks in advance
