I dont mind stripping and putting back together best way to learn and get a bit of an idea how things work plus everything is clean and I can check everywhere is getting it's fair share of oil
And everything is adjusted properly
Alot of the ones I am finding are from an industrial setting so I no theres going to be wear esp in the middle of the table unless I spend a 5-6k on a refurbed one it's just how much can I live with
I have been looking on alot of model and hobby sites but the only thing that is really available at a good price is a boxford vm30 it is tidy still 3phase but I'm unsure of the capability's with mild steel plus there is no quil and not alot of daylight when you mount a good vice I'm not planning on putting anything as big as a cylinder head on it but you never no lol
Where I bought my lathe from we’re selling a Bridgeport (two years ago) that they’d had from new. School use so very light. They do come up it’s just a case of right place, right time
