It's often what the mind sees. I thought tube as I have more round stock that square or flat. Lol.That looks a lot more complex than I was meaning. Similar setup to the one in the vid but just set screws in the centre to clamp to the bar.

Better to use a block rather than a tube, chuck it in a 4 jaw and bore out or better still weld it to your holder, chuck a drill and bore out then put a boring head in the lathe chuck and skim to size.
I did a quick and dirty one for my manual lathe, already had a tool block made that I had done for the CNC lathes turret I made. I then later made another turret for the lathe and the blocks were no use so I just welded one to a wedge holder I had, see pic.

It means I can use the bars for both CNC and manual, some pictured blow in the sleeves.

That would be very kind of you Hood. Let me know cost and I will send the money over.If you want to pay postage you can have one of the blocks I made for the turret, you could adapt and weld to a holder. It is bored 32mm so sleeves required for smaller but they are easy enough to make up .

...same problem with the 1 inch R8 collect on the 26mm tools...
Glad you said that. Lol The guy I purchased it off just said the same. It's made worse as the only holder I have for that is an R8 collet which is really not like the smaller ones due to the size of the Bridgeport quill.26mm is a very unusual size for a tool. Standard imperial tools would be 1" (25.4mm) and standard metric 25mm (0.984"). I am only saying this so you do not reconfigure everything for 26mm then to find you have the only 26mm tool in the land.
If I am understanding what you are meaning then it will not work as you will cut a slot rather than increase the bore. Maybe I am not following though ?Glad you said that. I am considering going a different direction for now in that I am going to try chucking the 32mm cutter on the lathe instead . Then getting the tool holder mounted empty using the crossfeed to slowly go across. I will have a degree of adjustment to widen it to 40 mm if I choose to.
Imagine this set up without the part he is milling actually in it.If I am understanding what you are meaning then it will not work as you will cut a slot rather than increase the bore. Maybe I am not following though ?
