I'd recommend you get 5356 in 1.6mm for ali filler wire. It seems to run a bit nicer than 4043 in my experience. We used it exclusively at my old work place, it colours up nicely when anodised/alocromed (sp?) unlike 4043 which goes black.
Don't listen to people who recommend the newer ceriated or lanthanated tungstens and use them on ac and dc, I would recommend you stick with nice radioactive Thoriated (red tip) for DC and Zirconiated (white tip) for ali.
The thoriated are bastard hard and will hold a nice sharp point even when you really dial in the amps. Not uncommon to weld 200 amps on a 2.4mm thoriated.
Zirconiated seem to run very nicely on ali and hold their shape well.
