Miller Mig Integra 243

Hello all. Im a new member on the forum.

I have searched the forum trying to find out if it is possible to convert a Miller Integra 243 3phase mig welder to single phase 240v?

I have a chance of a bargain and i have been told it might be possible. I was hoping one of you knowlegeable people would be able to shed any light on this subject?

Thanks for the link to the miller site.

On the owners manual pdf it does say that the Integra 243 is either 400v or 230v input voltage.
What exactly is involved in converting the machine over to 230v? I was hoping that weldequip would know and possibly know where i could get it converted if he can't do it himself

Dual voltage welders usually have some form of links inside you move to select the voltage - if your lucky the instructions are under the cover!

I'm not going to bother with the set now, therearen't any diagrams on the chassis. I don't think it's worth the risk, if it doesn't run single phase i'll be in the s**t.

I have been looking at two other mig sets, the Lorch M-Pro 252 and the Migatronic Automig 271. They are both around the same price and performance is very similar. I'm edging towards the Migatronic at the moment, only because it goes down to 20 amps versus 30amps of the Lorch. Both sets go up to 250A.
