In the end I wired it for 230 and it seems to weld.
Sorry to drag this topic up.
I want to use the AC side of the machine, but it still has the original connectors, for which I have no plugs.
I have a few dinse connectors, but I don't really like the design, always arcing inside the socket. I have however been unable to find any other types of terminals.
Should I just use the dinse connectors since there are already some on DC side, or should I machine some plugs for the original connectors? The machine actually comes with the original sockets for the DC side, would it be worth reinstalling those instead?
It appears the right side switch is for AC/DC ? Why do you have different connections for AC & DC ?
I fully understand what you wrote the first time.Someone at some point replaced the connectors on the left hand side with dinse connectors.

Please post a better pix of the front of the machine, in focus this time.
