They are multi voltage, auto switching.
Single or three phase.
They will run from 230v so use that rather than a 110v transformer.
Have a good look at the data plate on the actual machine you are looking at.
Some of those older ones need a 65a supply or so to hit 300a on 230v.
If you only have a 32a outlet you'll be limited to an output of about 150a output (and reduced duty cycle) which is a bit limiting for a water-cooled aluminium setup unless you can hardwire it or fit a 64a socket?
The newer models will do 280-300a output from a 32a 230v supply.

For get the HF and try it on lift arc, does it turn on? or are you not there yet, that machine if like the miller XMT304's, same case will have 110v output for american plugs on the back.
yes its heavy I carried a XMT up 6 flights of stairs, that brought a sweat on,It had a 3 phase lead on it and is very dirty inside having sat open for years in a commercial workshop.
So it'll take me a couple weeks as I get time to tinker at it and try to properly turn it on and test it. I will report back when I get that far. As said a couple of the small capacitors on this 26 year old machine are bulging. So I want to renew those too now before re-assembing it.
It is a seriously weighty machine. At least 50kg. Commercial grade gear I guess.
And yes it does have the american plug outlets on the back of it as you mention. (Front of it also says made in USA)
