I have been promising to get this one done for ages.
At last I remember.
One photo. I mixed about half a teacup of Citric acid powder in hot water and soaked the strips in it for about two hours.
The top strip had also been polished on a wire wheel.
The rest were cleaned with an old scrubbing brush for a few seconds.
It leaves a slightly dull but oxide free finish. The ocide layer is left at the bottom of the bowl as grey flakes.
I forgot to include in the pic a piece of strip pre treatment, but we all know what it looks like.
Citric acid bout £5.00 per kg of fleabay. Result!
In the past I have sworn by DeOxyc by Bilthamber £12.20 per Kg.
Double result.
Both treatments seem to have the same effect.
