Greatest fighter of all time?Just had what I think was an F22 fly fairly low over the caravan site we’re staying in in Dorset, my god what a noise!!![]()
Nope not a typhoon.
No idea, just noisy and smellyNope not a typhoon.
F16 perhaps?
Actually quite old these days…. Amazingly. Beautiful aircraft though.Greatest fighter of all time?
I used those to go to work in!
I did 18 years on the K's! We gave the old girls a good send off the other week. Sad day nonetheless. We also had the use of a 'big grey taxi' C130-J once the rental got us there...![]()
I couldn't believe it when I heard they were sacking them off, like the Harriers, they were our best assets - real 'force multipliers' sure, the C17's can do real heavy lift but they'd never use them in contested airspace or risk them on strips like this...I did 18 years on the K's! Same as the Tornado..multi role aircraft binnedI couldn't believe it when I heard they were sacking them off, like the Harriers, they were our best assets - real 'force multipliers' sure, the C17's can do real heavy lift but they'd never use them in contested airspace or risk them on strips like this...

In all seriousness, thanks for keeping them in the air - I had flown with the crew of Hilton 22 many times, and I witnessed how it affected the other crews - even the GE's!
We had those too, thought the wife had dozed off and started snoring againJust had what I think was an F22 fly fairly low over the caravan site we’re staying in in Dorset, my god what a noise!!![]()
