have anyone notice that the price of steel has shot up.
bought a load of steel tubing's last year price came to £228.
this year ordered less and it came £191.
going by last years prices ,I was expecting to pay a round £150 inc delivery.
still went a head and ordered.
this is going to be my last year in making rails/racks.

Had my lesson re. bright engineering steel prices yesterday. Ordered 8 lengths ranging from 5/16" diameter to 1 1/8" diameter. £246. Admittedly there was some EN16T and EN24T in there, but even the EN1A/EN3B run of the mill stuff is upward of £15 per length -I'm probably a victim of minimum 'per item' charges here, which along with their £50 plus VAT delivery is the reason I stopped buying from Parker Steel last year.

Yes most material prices have at least doubled I would say aluminium and stainless is even more than that

Parker steel had a graph on linked in showing £450+ per tonne increase within the year that’s mostly related to sections.

Not only has material risen I’ve noticed delivery price has gone up or have started to charge if they didn’t before.
