And they're involved with Hinkley Point!!!Yeah as it says gotta love those Chinese. Just did a load of scroll blanksdone yesterday, fishtail ends ready for winding cold - darn things are hard and snapping with a grain like a broken file
Come inside for a brew and think
Probably just needs annealing as it has too high a carbon content and cooled rapidly in the rolling / slitting mill
The scary one is in Essex to be solely designed built and basically run by them. And they're involved with Hinkley Point!!!
I have recently seen some 6mm plate almost de laminate like a sheet of plywood.and full of impurities.........they just remelt everything and anything...no scrap sorting

"The Chinese company will also lead construction of the plant in Bradwell, Essex, using a Chinese-designed nuclear reactor which needs to gain approval from Britain’s nuclear regulator."
A scary situation to keep an eye on.

Nothing wrong with genuine good quality exterior shuttering plywood...you have seen how long it can last when used as security boarding around building sites without any paint or treatmentShuttering ply, just a different vowel after the h?

yea your spot on with the description...i once cut into a board and found what i can only describe as a lattice of ice lolly sticks with a 50mm wide trim piece on 4 sides to give the illusion of nice tight laminates..totally shocking on what our Asian friends are getting away withAmazing what you find once that stuff does start to delaminate. Only the top and bottom sheets are (nearly) full ply. Inside it's all scrap and voids.
I even saw a flattened mouse inside one panel. Definitely a Chinese mouse and just goes to show how bad the quality is even if that story isn't strictly speaking "true".

Have they really....whats the builders name?....were they cheapThey have been making narrow boats in China and shipping them over in 40 ft containers, I pity the fools that thought they were getting a bargain as the whole investment depends on the quality of the steel under the water, junk steel could be knackered in ten years.
