Hello everyone,
Hello all, this is my first post on this wonderful forum
I’ve had the machine since new (1980) and miraculously this is the first time it’s had a fault, I suspect the wire speed potentiometer is worn causing erratic wire feed. I need a bit of advice in choosing the correct replacement, the original is marked 10K and is a 24mm diameter linear type.
What I can’t find is the power rating of the original, when searching for potentiometers the choice varies from a couple of quid to £35 how do I choose a suitable replacement?
I found an eBay listing for a mig wire feed potentiometer but it’s a 16mm version rated at 0.4watt.
I’ve read a couple of similar previous posts posted by @Mrmonkeyboy and replies from @eddie49
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Chris
