Had a go at porting an inlet manifold for my nova a while back, but managed to grind through to the water jacket! It's only a small hole that I could plate over to thicken the material back up. Question is will my little clarke 90en be able to manage it? the specs say it goes down to 24 amps so I think it willd do it.
Also need to fill in the bottom corners of the ports where they meet the head, again I have a piece of 2mm ally plate that I could cut into slivers and weld in on top of one another to ease the building up.
Or would it be easier to get some of them alloy welding rods that you can just melt in with a blow torch?
