Mig wire 15kg

I brought a new roll of mig wire 15kg only to find it don't fit on my machine! doh, so should I sell it or spool it onto a smaller reel, I can see it being a PITA spooling it on and its gonna jam in the machine I reakon.

If your machine has a route through the rear end you could make a stand and pass the wire through the back. (May need a small hole drilling so if machine is under warranty maybe not a great idea but if it's an older machine it might be worth a go)

Edit: I wouldn't bother trying to rewind it!

I'd flog it, Lee, and buy a 5KG spool. As Dale says, trying to re-spool it is a disaster waiting to happen - at least you can flog the drum as-new right now but if you try to re-spool it then it will just have to go in the bin once you realised you've knackered it

Stick it on here for collection - sure you'll get someone local to take it off your hands and maybe lose a fiver on the new price...

Another thing to consider if you do mount it and use it with your machine is the drive motor up to the job of pulling extra load.

anyway whilst on this subject ive drilled hole through mine and built a frame out of scrap round bed post as its about the right size for it

im using it on a clarke 150te mig

That spool looks more like 15 tons, it's bigger than the house behind it!
