Go to introductions and write a bit more about yourself, what you intend to weld and what exactly you are wanting to know.

Depends really, They will show you a lot, probably videos, on safety, machine types, wires, machine parts.

They could and will also expect you to show them how you will safely check the machine is properly set up, correct cables in the right sockets.

The tutors tended to fiddle with our machines whilst we were in the classroom, then when we put our safety gear on and went to the welding bays, we were again told to check the setup of our machines...

A lot of it will be rather straight forward.
