Hi, long-time lurker and reader here.
I have done a fair amount of mig welding on xar bodywork, so I am pretty comfortable and familiar with that.
I now need to make a custom exhaust. It would seem sensible to use stainless so I only have to do it once. But I have only ever welded mild steel.
I know I would need stainless wire. Any particular gas recommendation?
Anything else I should be aware/cautious of? The machine is a Sealey mightymig 150, though I am running it on a 13amp supply so can't crank it all the way up.
I did consider buying a tig machine, but then I would be learning a new material and a new welding method. Is tig on stainless much easier than mig?
Thanks for reading.
