hi is there anyone in Leicester who has been on the welding course at the machine shop which is located in Leicester and it's £70.00 for a 4 hour 121 course for basic MIG welding I was wondering if any members as been on the course.
hi mate it's only for my hobby about that course it's not far from me and they said im welcome to come and have a look around I've googled the address etc and its all legit they, not scammers
Yep, thats the place.
hi mate well I did buy a esab 200amp single phase one then I got it home then tried to run a bead was ok at a low setting so I turned it up I thought I can smell smoke and the bloody thing was letting smoke out from the welder so I sold it for repair or parts so I've just purchased a thermal ark 211i fabricator new to me and that's bloody great so far, mate70 quid is absolute peanuts for 4 hours of a tutors time+material+electricity. Seems on the cheap side to me, so be wary. What machine have you got? I teach c&g Level 1,2 and 3 amongst other quals so if I can be of assistance let me know regarding courses you’ve found
yeah i was going to take a peek 2 day but time of opening is 4.00pm so friday it opens at 9.00 in the morning i checked and the price is £80.00 but that is still good
.... esab 200amp single phase... the bloody thing was letting smoke out from the welder....so I sold it for repair or parts
what i like is that i can take my own welder he said so he will teach me how to get the best out of the welder which is great i thinkI did this course on Sunday.
Highly recomended, the 1:1 tuition is so useful and gave me so much confidence. I pretty much welded non-stop for 4 hours and I was exhausted by the end. I have ben on a couple of welding courses, taught by family friends etc but this is the first time I "got" it. One thing that was really good for me was how to set up the welder, such a basic thing makes a huge difference. The best part of it was you can dictate what you want the lesson to be. I came with a goal to weld a bracket which I prepared before the lesson and by the end of it I had the confidence and guidence to do it and I walked out with a decent part as well as all of the knoweldge. It sounds too good to be true, but it isn't.
You an also sign up to use all of the other tools, mill, lathe, TIG etc etc.
but I no esab bought thermal arc company so they cant be bad machines .What a pity... I'm sure we could have helped you fix it.
