    Hi all

Apologies if this is a dumb question ! I'm ordering all the supplies up for some new steel doors for my garage that I'm about to start on, and most of the weld on bullet hinges seem to be listed as "carbon steel" ? So ... will I be ok welding these to the "mild steel" frame with standard 0.8mm wire ? I'm on SGS 5% CO2/Argon and using my Clarke 151 EN.

    Thanks in advance

The term carbon steel is just a general term, if it said high carbon steel you might have had an issue, hinges will be low carbon mild steel, or LCMS, just weld them, you will be fine.
