Hi people
I am new to this forum but have been learning welding in my own time in our garage for a number of months now. I started welding with a Arc welder then moved on to a Clarke 100en Gasless mig Welder we bought from machine mart. The problem is, we only bought the Mig welder a couple of weeks back and i still am having problems with getting it to weld thin mild steel around 1mm in the boot of my Mini Mayfair. When i try and weld, it goes all 'snotey' and just blows hole through it. I have the setting on what it says in the manual for 0.8mm Gasless Wire A: 1 B: MIN wire speed: 6.
As you can see from the photos the holes in the work. it doesnt look good. Please can someone tell me where i am going wrong.
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards
