Hi, first time post here. Looking for some advice
I have an issue with my budget mig welder, a rossi 185n gasless mig machine.
I was welding fine then seemed to lose power and the wire feeder slowed right down and started making noise.
Its a cheap brand so it may be a lost cause bothering to fix it
I believe it may be the bridge rectifier, as once opened there was smoke coming from one of the diodes.
Im not too bad with electrical stuff, but have no idea about fixing welders. How the current flows through both the transformers and then diode is rather confusing.
Included is a pic of the bridge rectifier halfway through removal, im hoping perhaps i can replace the diodes with stud mount types but unsure if this will work or where to even start
