Im looking to purchase a mig for light fab work, mostly using 2-3mm box/ angle and 10g-16g weldmesh. Ive been looking at the migatronic 181, boc 190c, lincoln powertec 161 and the murex tradesmig 171.
Its giving me a headache, any suggestions please.
Ive always been a big MUREX/ESAB fan so id say you couldnt really go wrong with that. But on the other hand have used migatronic & Lincoln and are equally good as for the BOC it will probably by murex unless very old id say each of your choices are as good as each other, So its down to price
All good welders if purchased new, older models may have spares availability problems, also have you considered a "Portamig" machine, use search above right corner (^) and settle down for a read, then pm "weldequip"
depends on how much you want to spend.the best mig plants on the market by far are the EWM WEGA.i have four 350 amp machines for production work and they just keep on going and i have had three of them for five years now and never broke down i have just bought a new topbox machine last month.
