first time in the forum - please be gentle !!
i have a decent background in welding. Having used
stick more than others, but also had a great experience
welding for a company some time back using a miller
tig machine. A machine far beyond my "affordible" range.
My question - looking to purchase a straight tig (probably miller)
or mig (again probably miller) - how "clean" can the mig weld
as compared to the tig. I do not "production" weld and would like some different opinions from the forum with regards to the "individual"
rod applications used in tig versus the "wire roll" feeders for stainless, aluminum, and mild / cold roll steel products.
Can one achieve great penetration without much splatter from the MIG ?
thanks in advance for your opinions
