mig torches brands questions

Hello
I just bought some mig torches they are much rugged than the chinese ones and i trying to find the brand that make them:
1-One of them has the model on it "bz 25 ergo" made in west germany
2-The other has a tb logo can´t find the brand of it
It is mostly for getting parts like plastics and other stuff that are specific for that brand .
They are both binzel mb 25 consumables compatible.
3-the bz 25 ergo cable has 3 wires on it , i own another bz torch but the 36 version one and it has also a 3 wire conection. My question is:
What is the need for a third wire? most torches that i seen had 2 wires (trigger) that closes and opens the circuit so the machine can start or stop to weld. I know there are some torches that have potenciometers on tem. i have a migatronic torch that has it, but i thought that i needed 4 wires 2 for the triger and 2 for the potenciometer.

Can anyone help me out ?

1. Probably a Binzel. Loads of copies about that use BZ or BIN or BZL names. I guess to show compatability without trademark issues. Some copies are very good quality.
I don't know if binzel own the trademark MB25 but, if they do, they seem fairly happy for others to market stuff using the same name. It's almost an industry standard.

Do you mean 3 small wires plus the big power cable?
Do these torches not have Euro connectors on the machine end?

2 small wires plus the big power cable would be normal. Apart from some of the cheaper welders that use one wire and the power cable itself.

3 wires are generally for an up/down switch.
Potentiometer torches normal have 5. 2 for the trigger and 3 for the pot.

Give us a picture of the wires and how they exit from the machine end of the torch..

3- Not mine cable but very similar

1- this may be the new one .Mine has a red trigger and does not have the grey grip.

3. Doesn't look like a binzel cable. They usually have a Hex at the back of the thread.
The thread looks longer than a Euro connector version as well.

Could be for a tweco style connector rather than a euro. But I'd have expected the 3 wires to be longer than that.

Probably easiest to whip the torch head apart and see what the wires connect to inside the handle.

As for the 3 wires, a torch brand responded to my mail saying that the 3rd wire is a backup wire in case of one of the trigger wires gets broken you have another to restore the trigger circuit.
