Mig tip size?

Hi all

Recently got a sealey mighty mig150. Been playing with it today and got some of results after playing with setting for a while.

Anyway I only had one tip come with the welder so I ordered some more 1.0mm ones but they are to small in thread size, looks like a m5 thread and I need an m6 I think? But looking around I can't find different size threads? Or am I missing something lol

yea you need a M6...the smaller tips are for the little welders like the hobby machines

any welding equipment shop or site will have them buddy there only pennies to buy

Brugger, or words to that effect.

I've just ordered m5 tips even though my Lincoln uses m6. I could have swopped some of mine for yours.


However, all is not lost.

When you next have to balance a pair of twin choke Dellorto 45's you will need the m5 tips for the vacuum take offs.

A useful thing to know that is.

Put them on eBay as Dellorto vacuum take off adaptors.

When I looked at buying the proper thing they were £5.85 each. (you need 4 btw)
