mi tig arc are well know for selling good kit if that helps

That brand isnt one of the best known, but i have used one of thiere mma inverters numerous times. Its as good as anything else i have used, and very robust considering inverter based machines are reasonably delicate.
I think one of the members has a STEL, Chunkolini possibly, hopefully he will add a few words at some point.

MTA are a fairly well know firm, i wouldnt have a problem bying from them.

The idea of multi process in one appeals.... but the one thing that has put me off, is if it goes wrong, all 3 of your welders has gone wrong.....

I think Stel are one of the decent names in welders, Italian I believe.
On paper it's a good machine, certainly very versatile, though the only thing that worries me is the cost of repair should anything go wrong outside of the warranty. You can bet your life it's a very complex machine internally.

I have a Stel 200 amp AC DC tig inverter, Brilliant machine in use every day, never been any trouble, I'm told that Stel have made machines for Murex to rebadge, I would certainly buy another.

not thinking of that set specificaly,just 3in1 sets generally
the thought of mma for some rusty old implement,mig for fabbing summat in the 'shop and tig for ally is appealing



anyone know for any other 3in1 sets that are genny safe and lightweight

If you want a machine for Aluminium, you need to be looking at AC/DC machines.
None of thoose 3in1 jobbies on MTA are ac tig capable.

You might be able to get away with mig on the ally, although its not great. Not sure how thoose machine would cope....
