Just seen online a machine that will tig and mig and arc weld as well as cutting for £50 with very low cost shipping from USA … but too good to be true??

Saw one similar on FB, $49 was the selling price…many folk asking for shipping costs which were quoted as low….very sus to me….
Similarly, there are sellers flogging 6.5 kw German generators for pittance, but all these sellers had foreign names, if you get my drift….again very sus, could be a scam…

Work colleauge fell for this,
They ship a smaller item (his was a toy car)
So they had a delivery tracking number and delivery notice etc.
Then when it turns up got a signed for delivery etc
Then can try and claim your the one in the wrong trying to lie

Ok,I can quote another example of these scammers….my wife saw an ad on fb for ladies dresses. Priced in $ they seemed a good buy with free del on orders over a certain amount. She decided to buy 6, total spend around £30 when the exchange rate was factored.
I paid by credit card….order placed and we waited.
There was no acknowledgment of our order being placed, thought ok, give it a couple more days.
After a week, I decided enough is enough, emailed the seller, no reply after 3 days, went to bank got in touch with credit card co. and told them.
Further checks revealed the seller was based in China, but with a UK front…it all looked legit….
As I type this now, 6 weeks has passed since the order was placed, we had two further emails saying the goods would be sent, but nothing forthcoming. I got refunded on my cc..
So as the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true it probably ain’t…
Be careful, lots of scammers out there…

For £50, just buy it, pay with PayPal or credit card so you can get your money back if it never comes, and if it does it will give you £50 worth of amusement at how crap it is
