If someone can help. I have a telwin 180/2 , when start welding the wire goes out for a while about two three second and some time more without spark then it start welding.
When you press the trigger switch on the torch, three things should happen at the same time:
- welding voltage and arc starts
- gas solenoid valve opens
- wire feed motor starts turning
According to the circuit diagram in Post #10 of this earlier thread:
Hi everyone! I got a free 180/2 turbo from work a couple weeks ago! The machine wasn't working when i got it and someone had changed some things: there was a 24v solenoid for the gas and there was a stripped wire hanging out. Also the welding gun had a busted up euro connector but the machine...

the gas valve and the coil of the contactor ( heavy-duty relay ) for the main welding transformer are in parallel, so any delay should affect them both. Could you please check ( e.g. by gas flow, or noise, or sensing the movement inside ) whether the gas valve is also operating a few seconds late?
In addition, with power off and the machine unplugged, remove the covers and check for loose, corroded, or burnt connections inside. Also check for correct operation and setting of the Spot Weld switch and timer.
