Think you'll find steel pipe painted silver with silicon hoses, but without the jubilee clips fitted. Samco on one elbow gives it away.
I had a natter with unclefista about those silicone pipes. Apparantly they are less bendable than ordinary rubber pipes so pre-formed hoses are the way to go. I was after some for an air intake, but there's thinner stuff reinforced by a metal coil that's better for that sort of thing.

how come I see so many tanks and sumps welded from the inside? Is there a specific reason to do so?
I just thought it'd be easier, looks cleaner AND will allow you to lay a really thick sealing weld better from the inside of a tank?
