Too much power ? I reckon I had 80-90bhp
I'll hold my hands up to the first bump, got a bit giddy and went into a corner too fast, lost the back end and oversteered into a wall
The last one wasn't my fault at all, I was driving up the road and a new-ish Golf, heading towards me, decided to just turn right in front of me, hit me in the side and smashed up the other side.
It's amazing how much damage is done to one of these in a bump, new suspension arms and usually parts of the chassis cutting out and replacing.
Anyway, the Golf driver was very apologetic, I managed to not hit 'im, a fellah in his mid-twenties in a suit, said he was on his lunch break from work, and we swapped details.
After I'd got the car home, I got a bit suspicious (dunno why) but had a drive to his address, which didn't exist, rang the number, no such number, cue the sinking feeling in my gut.
Anyway, after actually having to take a Policemans number down and threaten him with an offical complaint, he looked the car up on the comp, it was registered to a none-existant company
I went and found the Golf a few streets away from the crash (bodywork was rubbing on the wheel) phoned the police to tell 'em, let the tyres down so they couldn't go anywhere etc. basically did all I could.
Bottom line is, the **** got away with it and I had to pay and fix my car myself
My advice is, if you're in a crash, sit on the other driver and phone the police, tell 'em you're a single female/muslim/gay and the other driver is getting "heavy" and wait for 'em to turn up...
