Exhaust or inlet manifold, I've googled it and found a photo, but not managing to post it.

I agree, A light indicates a "too late anyway" situation, whereas a gauge gives some comfort.Old-school gauges didn't have that problem - told you more too.

If the car is a tip inside and the washer bottle is empty
Fail
I always vacuum any cars out that I take for test, it just makes it looked cared for. Also the tester has to sit in it, why make him sit in filth. It’s a bit psychological really, clean car, happy tester, filthy dirty, unhappy tester. If the car is a tip inside and the washer bottle is empty

I do not like oil pressure gauges, scare the life out of me, stare at them the whole time, I used to drive a Ford cargo
to Germany monthly, oil pressure always read a bit low, I blanked the top 3/4 of the gauge off so the needle would only show the lowest quarter, happy then, same with my old Cessna (Lycoming 032 E2D) did not cover the gauge but spent a lot of time looking at it, especially over the sea out of sight of land or at night...…...
In my experience, it gives owners a reason to worry! Oil pressure comes up regularly on the Scimitar forums.
