Hi all, new to the forum and looking for some advice on choosing a welder to suit my needs. My use case is mainly car rust repairs and further down the road some hobbyist restoration work and any other odd jobs/repairs around the house that require welding, so not going to be heavily used or abused.
Budget is sub £400 idealy, I've had my eye on some sealey brand migs (SUPERMIG150) which arent big money and do go down to 30amp for welding thin panels. I'd also considered the R-tech 180 MIG but its quite pricey and I feel it would likely be a bit wasted on me with my use case. My current welder is an old Ferm MIG 130 (awful thing with a live torch) so anything would be a nice upgrade i suppose.
Any advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
