Microswitch soldering

Repairing a mate’s key fob switches. I’ve done plenty of SMD soldering, but these pads are tiny compared to the iron tip.

Would it be worth getting a mini hot air rework station (hopefully you’ll say yes), and if so, which budget ones are good?

That tip looks like it would do the job, but still might be tricky to unsolder all four pads on the old ones.

You do two pads and lift each end, or each corner in turn.
A decent soldering iron with a fine tip and some good solder and flux is all you really need for those.

I love my 2 antex irons - much better than anything else.

Wick the excess solder (0.8mm) off first quick dab of heat
