Micrometer table lamp

I have a couple of old imperial micrometers
12 inch and 16 inch .
The wife wants to make lamp stands out of them .
It is the electric side that bothers me .
240 volt or low voltage .
Any links to suppliers would help .
We want big industrial type bulbs .

I’ll start by saying, go lo voltage, much safer….use a small plug in ‘wall wart‘ type power unit….
Big industrial type bulbs might be a problem…
