I parked my Renault in an out of the way place for 2 weeks while I was away from home. It turned out to be a very damp place and the car must have been constantly wet for 2 weeks. It was green with moss on my return.
After a wash the bonnet seems to be covered with small blisters. It's as if water has been absorbed into the paint and has pushed the paint up in an attempt to escape on the first sunny day it's seen for 2 weeks.
Seems to me that cellulose paint is prone to this sort of thing, but I've not experienced the problem so long after painting before (must be 5 years since painting). Does anyone know how this sort of thing can happen, or can anyone suggest tricks that might prevent this sort of problem?
