Can anybody confirm the size of the brake pipe unions on my Peugeot 307. I had to remove the rear caliper after fitting new discs as I could not shift the handbrake rewind pistons on the car. Managed OK with the caliper in a vice though. Problem was that when I went to try and undo the pipe into the caliper it was so tight that it felt like it was just going to snap or worse. So I disconnected further down the line and then managed to get the pipe off in one piece on the bench with the flats of the union still usable. But there are signs of dissimilar metal corrosion in the threads of the ali calliper(steel pipes)So I want to try a tap in there and see if it will work before shelling out for a new caliper. I believe the threads are M9 but am unsure of the pitch. I think 1.25 but could be 1. I have some new metric unions and have tried running the male into the caliper but it tightens up a bit. There are no markings on the unions though.
