Metal thickness

I'm going to be doing some sill repairs in the next few days, I was just wondering what thickness of steel you guys would recommend using?

I'm not too sure but I from what I can remember seeing it was around 2-3mm thick I think.

That's pretty thick. What sort of vehicle is it?
I would use whatever thickness was used originally.

Its a nissan skyline, I'm unsure of the thickness but I'll have a look tomorrow, hopefully I'll have the right metal at work. Thanks for the help much appreciated.

If you go to your local motor factors for sheet steel they usuraly keep stock of 0.8mm sheet steel.

Yes agreed, 1mm will be fine, it is only 1950's -60's cars such as the Morris Minor that have a 2mm inner sill.
