Metal Pull

Hello

I have welded some 3mm Steel and am now about to paint it, the steel on the other side to the weld has a line when the weld has "pulled" the steel. I wonder if anyone has got any idea's on how to cover this when painting, or remove it.

My theory was to flap wheel it, then use high build primer and lots of rubbing down?

Any other idea's?

Thanks Mr Fuzzy, but the lines are there already, I am more after opinions on remedy's, I am sure someone must have had this, and had to get around it when painting.

I see the lines alot on agricultural machinery, even tacks do it if you look carefully, in alot of situations you need not worry about them, but in this alication it needs to look "right" from the outside. :-)
