Thanks. Dont worry - as above, i am considering just running a new run now if this turns into a real nightmare. We think we may have found someone local who has a detector so will give them a try.I guess I could send it ? I have not used it for 20 years, so would have to drag it out and test it. You could try it, if not urgent. Will want it back though at some point. Or could hire something ?
Can't guarantee it would find it though. You will find that any field is littered with lots of metal carp. Even in the middle of nowhere ! So prepare to be frustrated.
A mate of mine was a detectorist and good at it. TBH I would get the other guy narrow it down a bit, although memory is not always reliable. TBH probably best to find a local club, as they will know their machines The problem with detectorists, is that once you ask them for help, they will probably want to be able to search your land ............
Once found I would replace with a joiner and put a replacement somewhere more obvious.
Last sentence is exactly what i have planned. I'm not home until Saturday but i have sent SWMBO out with instructions to buy a new PRV and everything we will need for each side of it to connect to 25mm MDPE. Whatever goes back will be in a chamber and accessible!!
