it will be if the head gasket had blown and that's why the head was stripped off to renew itPersonally I would say if money is tight then leave it alone and put it back together with a new gasket. If the head and block were originally together then I don't see it being an issue.

it always makes me wonder why people worry so much about the head being flat, yet never bother to check the flatness of the block. if it was fine before the head was taken off (not blown head gasket), I'd just fit a new gasket and not worry about it......Im no motor mechanic though
