For your amusent and/or disgust...
A Sevenoaks based leather worker and YouTube craft promoter, Harry Rogers, AKA Bucklehurst Leather, came to my workshop the other day to get some content for his YouTube channel.
We chatted about metal working/blacksmithing whilst I made some sculpture components & he's compiled the footage into a 30 min video, link below.
I'd highly recommend another one of his videos on shingle making with a local wood worker. That's got over 1.5million views! John, the wood worker is a nice bloke, he gave me a go on his pole lathe at a fair we did together recently. "Harder than it looks" as the cliche goes.

What a brilliant chap Joel is. Very watchable and listenable (if that's a word).

Just goes to show the difference between a true artist who makes stuff and someone who makes stuff they think is art.

Doh! I got so engrossed in the vid, I didn't read the post properly. So it's the other way round, you're not the old duffer keeps going on about sewing leather?

<edit> come to think of it! I've already seen that vid about shingles. It was quite engrossing.

Couldn't hear properly,is it a Normal rear entry tuyere ,or base?
I've seen a base entry at vaughans btw.

My forge is a side blast forge with the tuyere coming in from the back of the fire. I've used both side and bottom blast forges, I prefer side. It's also easier to say with a straight face.
