Met post removal

Nightmare,
Dug a fair size hole around it, filled it with water. It'll move and twist but won't pop out with a big pry bar underneath it.
Next try is the turfer winch.
Any ideas?

Dig deeper? The last time I tried to remove the stump of a wooden post from the ground it had a lot of play side to side by would not pull up. The clay mud was sucking it down and holding it in place. Dig deep enough and get your shovel under the end to break the seal.

I extracted a gatepost using a farm jack.

I tried jacking one out, welded a bracket to it push against and ripped the head off it, ended up making an offset metpost to knock in along side it.

That's the method I usually go with. By the time you've done phaffing about trying various methods to pull it out, it's likely to have been quicker and easier to just keep digging.
