Messenger (drawchord) fitting

Hi,
After googling, it seems most blow a chord down a conduit (50 metres for me) with compressed air using a plastic bag as a parachute.
Has anyone got other ingenious methods.? ( I dont have a compressor)
My conduit is 32 mm i/d and 50 metres long

I have seen it done using a shop vac, to suck it along.

Drain rods would be an option, but you'd need LOTS.

seem to remember a coiled up wire strip available on line ....it's on a reel..... used by sparky's for that very job.....not expensive.......it's called a fish tape reel...........

Just did a super torturous 30m run in 25mm PVC flex. I tied a 2" square of cotton t-shirt as a mouse on some cheap green garden twine. I duct taped a hoover on one end and fed the mouse and twine through the other. Worked first time and once through I used the twine to pull a 6mm polypropylene 'rope' through as the true draw rope. All in all it was very easy and cost under a tenner for the rope.

Rat would do that no problem, a small ferret would probably manage too my little cretins escaped through a hole not much more than an inch square once
