So, it's the end of the month, I was unloading a trailer, and wifie says, I know I shouldn't be looking at things for sale, but there's a floor sander for sale for 50 euros, 10 minutes from here...
That's the hire price for a day.
We have many floors, and floors and rough old tables to sand.
3 hours later meet Sandy. The floor sander.
Well she's vintage, at least 70 years old seeing as Haywood foundries (London) closed in 1951.
Wooden handle and brass lipstick style drop control.
I'd assumed belts of sandpaper. No it takes sheets, and works a treat.
Even tried sanding concrete, and it doesn't bat an eyelid.
Anyone familiar with the tensioning system for the sheets, I initially assumed they were cams , but I think you feed the abrasive in an the rollers hold it, square heads, and square head nuts. Quality.
Apologies for rubbish photos.
