finally got a chance to work on her this weekend, managed to get the front axle off followed by the sump witch was full of congealed oil. pulled off all the wiring witch is an absolute mess! fuel lines, filter and lift pump also came off. followed buy the intake and exhaust manifold, starter motor and linkage off as well, throttle linkages came off, push rods, rocker assembly as well then the head, and finally the front end with the block.
unfortunately the whole engine needs re building so started that last night.
i stripped the head down, and got it reddy to be sent off tomorrow, just hope the bill isn't too high! the liners need replacing as they are badly worn. knocked a piston out to find knackered oil control rings and scorched big end shells. not to mention the 5 broken valve springs! its amazing it ran at all.
