Yes I'm using the original textured build plate that came with it, cleaned before each print.
This is the only issue. What bed temp does the built in "Bambu PLA" and "Generic PLA" profiles use on your X1C?

Still waiting on PETG spools to arrive tomorrow, but it came with 50g of burnt titanium coloured PLA...so, first benchy went horribly wrong as filament got snagged halfway through leaving a few weak layers...second was spot on though...4 year old is happy with it atleast. This was the inbuilt model printed directly from the stored memory. 14 mins print time on standard settings
Got one of my facia hooks on test print with the remainder of the filament just to see how it comes out

Came out quite well. Hole isn't very round, but perfectly usable, not sure if that's a drawing issue or a printer issue but it will definitely work...

have just realised i may have made an error...when it arrived i had no intention of setting it up indoors, but it was lashing down with rain so i ended up doing it anyway...sat it on top of the cardboard box it came in...i dont think that was wise, even less wise that i walked away while it was doing the initial calibration....i moved it to the floor while printing as it was getting a bit violent on the box with the faster print speed of the boat model.
will run a calibration again tomorrow on a firmer surface and see if it makes the holes any more round

re-calibrated this morning, still in the house but on the surface its sat on to print now.
printed a tolerance test, little hex piece with some varying size holes at 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4...the piece is a good solid fit in the 0 hole, would need force to insert and remove, the 0.05 is a good tight fit, can be done by hand but not as easy and needs pesuading both ways, the 0.1 will drop in and out but not a great deal of play when in the hole then the 0.2 and 0.4 are as sloppy as you would expect which makes me very confident in PLA atleast that i can make the hole fits that i would want for various things.
still watiing on RM to deliver my PETG, tracking now says its in cardiff, apparently coming today but also says delayed so who knows at this point...1 postie has already been around with nothing, 3 more to go

So, it's now in the shed. Bit colder than the house but not by much, still in double digits in there according to the cheap digital thermometer
Just set it free on a 3h14m print of a side mounted tool tray for the snips, Allen keys, screwdriver and any other 3d specific tools I may pick up so no I'm going to do the most stressful thing I can think of on a Sunday and close the doors and go to my father's for a few hours.
I feel like I want to buy the additional camera, can get one for 30 quid of fleabay from a UK seller...but I also feel like I haven't had any failed prints so far so I might wait til I get issues before buying the camera, it's not like I can sit and watch it most days anyway and I'd likely forget to check in at regular intervals too

Right...bit of an issue I can't seem to resolve regarding orca (flash forge) slicer and flash maker (phone app)
When I'm on my own WiFi network both show me the progress of the print, print status, machine status etc...but as soon as I drop off my network everything goes to offline and I can't see anything.
What do I need to do to be able to remotely monitor the progress? I'd like to add a camera so that I could potentially pick up on failures and stop the print remotely, but if I have to be on the same network that seems pointless. Now I have some IP CCTV cameras that I could easily rig to cover that side of it, but if I can't stop the print it's pointless anyway.
Edit, fixed the issue, my own stupidity, WiFi isn't great in the shed, and closing the door is enough to drop the printer off the network...
