See what you can do, if it is sold here it will raise a few bob for the preservation soc. which has got to be better than sitting un loved in a carriage.Hi all
I've noticed a few posts on here concerning Meddings pillar drills, I spotted one donks ago in a carriage on the railway, it's doing SFA, I'll raise the matter when I get back.
Norm.
Quite agree but I think it would go like this. Me. Is that for sale. Them. How much do you think it's worth. Me. Well what do you want for it. Them dunno make an offer. Me. I'm not buying it, and so on. Best I can do is take some pics ID it and show on here.
Always the same, there's a Harrison m300 at my dad's work that hasn't even been plugged in for about 10 years. Will they sell it to me? Not likely and my dad retires this year so that's the end of that!
I worked for a photographic wholesaler years ago, in the basement was a lathe that had only ever been used to cut lens mount panels for 54 monorail cameras. In the five or six years I was there it was never used and looked as though it had hardly had any use ever. I tried to buy it a couple of times but nothing doing, they would not even let me use it at lunch time, no training / health and safety etc... Long story short a couple of years after I left they were bought out and that location was closed, I was still in touch with some of the staff but never did find out what happened to the lathe.
